The Virology Institute, Stefan S. Nicolau (IVN) is a Roumanian Academy istitute with a very good and experimented teams in basic and applied biomedical reasearch. During the years the institute had, and still have multiple national and international founded projects (FP7, bilateral projects) in the field of cellular and molecular biology, genetic epidemiology, oncology, virology, and molecular genetics that allowed the set-up of a state of the art infrastructure at international standards. The projects created also the possibility to form highly trained specialists in molecular biology, molecular genetics, oncology or chemoprevention.
