Brokerage events & support

One of the tasks in BLACK SEA HORIZON project is to support the participation of researchers from Black Sea countries in European brokerage and other relevant events in order to facilitate HORIZON 2020 participation.

In this task a scheme will be operationalised to facilitate an active participation of a minimum of 25 researchers from the non-EU Black Sea countries in European brokerage events, scientific conferences and other formats which are appropriate for networking with EU consortia to build-up partnerships for subsequent joint research activities. Such meetings provide excellent opportunities for researchers to liaise, develop synergies and be taken on board in, hopefully successful, consortia. They also allow researchers to make their institutions and/or their research networks better known, which is an important pre-condition for their successful participation in the framework programmes, especially in case of target countries which do not have broad experience in FP and HORIZON 2020 participation. The aim of the task is to support the participation of researchers from the target region - based on defined criteria - to take part at such events by providing a grant scheme which co-funds travel costs and registration fees.
