The Black Sea Regional Agency for Energy Management (BSRAEM) was established in 2003 by the Union of Bulgarian Black Sea Local Authorities as part of SAVE PROGRAMME of the European Commission DG “Energy and Transport”.

The activities of the BSRAEM cover the territory of the Bulgarian Black Sea Cost through collaboration with the state Agency for Energy Efficiency and the Regional Energy Centres in Bulgaria.

The Mission of the Black Sea Regional Agency for Energy Management is to coordinate the activities of Bulgarian Black Sea municipalities in the sphere of energy management and sustainable development. It organizes their efforts in the process of solving common problems for the Black Sea region.

The Black Sea Regional Agency for Energy Management assists Small Local Authorities in their in-house energy conservation as an example to other bodies; provides information and public awareness, campaigns on energy conservation and development of RES; assists private developers and SMEs in realization and management of energy projects.
