The State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as the State Energy Efficiency Agency of Ukraine) shall be the central executive authority, an activity which is governed and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine through the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine. The State Energy Efficiency Agency of Ukraine shall be a part of the system of executive authorities and ensure implementation of state policy in the areas of efficient utilization of fuel and energy resources, energy saving, renewable energy sources and alternative fuels. The main tasks of the State Energy Efficiency Agency of Ukraine shall be the following:
Implement state policy in the areas of efficient utilization of fuel and energy resources, energy saving, renewable energy sources and alternative fuels; ensure increase of share of renewable energy sources and alternative fuels in energy balance of Ukraine.
