Institute of Marine Biology has made long term comprehensive studies in the area on man-made changes of aquatic ecosystems of the shelf and coastal water bodies. Scientific trends are being worked out orientated on the solution of theoretical and applied issues of constructive aquatic ecology. Among numerous projects IMB is involved in creation of integrated management of activities together with assessment of wind energy potential in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea.
