The main aim of the Institute of Ecology and Geography of ASM is to organise and conduct fundamental and applied scientific research on evolution, structure, and geographical and ecological functioning of their basic components, their changes under the action of biotic, abiotic and anthropogenic factors, to environmental protection, efficient use of natural resources, estimation of human impact and ensuring of environmental security as well as the sustainable development of the economy.
