The Economic Development Agency of Timis County - ADETIM was founded in May 1995. It was the first specialized structure of local and regional economic development founded in Romania. The Economic Development Agency of Timis County is a non-profit, public institution, founded by Timis County Council, in partnership with the key actors of the local development, Timisoara City Hall and Timisoara Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture. The Economic Development Agency of Timis County proposes to be a link between the local public administration and the private sector, a promotion center of the best policies, methods and economic development practices.
In particular, ADETIM:
• Elaborates and proposes towards the approbation to Timis County Counsel the annual and economic development program;
• Elaborates concrete studies, projects, methods and procedures for realizing the socio-economic development programs and forecasts;
• Initiates and prepares the substantiation documentation for the realization of the projects from the local economic development area;
• Elaborates financing applications and gives technical specialized assistance regarding the financing programs;
• Organizes information, consulting, publicity actions, seminars and symposiums in social and economic area;
• Stimulates and supports through specific ways the developing of the promotion activities;
• Gives consultancy services for promotion and supporting the private initiative;
• Assures the specific frame for establishing contracts between Romanian partners and between them and foreign partners;
• Supports the foundation of developing agencies and business caters in villages and towns from Timis County;
• Organizes management and training courses.
