Energy Utilization Biomass Association EUBA – Bulgaria was established in 2001 by legal entities and physical persons based on their common professional interests in the field of biomass energy utilization. EUBA is legal entity with non-economic purpose for realization of activities for private aims. EUBA is a member of European biomass association - AEBIOM.

The initiative for the establishment of the Energy Utilization Biomass Association in Bulgaria was needed to respond the fact that Bulgaria has significant drawbacks in the biomass utilization for energy purposes. Various reasons obstacle the development in this direction, among them: lack of normative arrangement in the field of energy production industries and ecology, insufficient popularity of bio-fuels among the ordinary citizens, and poor information about the producers and bio-fuel suppliers.
