Centre of International Projects of the Academy of Sciences, Moldova

The Center of International Projects (CIP), is an auxiliary public institution of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM), which has two main goals: promoting the integration of Moldovan scientific community within the European Research Area (by using the opportunity offered by the FP7 associated country status) and management of bilateral and multilateral programs in science and innovation launched within Cooperation Agreements between ASM and various international organizations and foundations. Since its inception, CIP has managed around 250 bilateral projects under Cooperation Agreements. CIP provides managerial, technical, financial and legal assistance to members of Moldovan scientific community, as well as for Moldovan Diaspora members, including consulting activities, seminars, trainings and other activities in the framework of international and bilateral projects.

CIP was officially nominated as the Host Organization of the Moldovan FP7 National Contact Points Network to support and coordinate its activities as a whole structure; responsible for assurance of participation the Official Representatives and National Experts in the FP7 Programme Committees; and to support the activity of Representatives of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova in the European Institutions in Brussels within the Moldovan Office for Science and Technology. CIP is involved in realization of several projects such as: PICTURE project: "Policy dialogue in ICT to an Upper level for Reinforced EU-EECA Cooperation" 2011-2014; TOP II EURAXESS Network project supported within the FECYT TOP II Network Call 2012-2014 and involved in carrying out some activities related to the organization of Pilot Joint Calls within SEERA-EI, Black-Sea ERANET and ERA.Net RUS Plus projects and projects funded within this activity.CIP staff has experience of managing TEMPUS and SCOPES projects.

On October 3, 2011 the Center of International Projects of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova was nominated as organization, which declared commitment to the EURAXESS principles and requirements and will serve as EURAXESS Services Bridgehead Organization and EURAXESS Services Local Contact Point.
