6th INTERNATIONAL BIOECONOMY CONFERENCE

The ScienceCampus Halle and the Leading-Edge Cluster BioEconomy cordially invite you to the 6th International Bioeconomy Conference in Halle on 10 - 11 May 2017. The motto this year is “Circular Bioeconomy. Bio meets Economy – Science meets Industry”.

The conference was first held in 2012 and is now regarded as one of the most important bioeconomy events in Germany. Every year it brings together internationally renowned representatives of science and industry to discuss the latest research findings, innovations and current developments on the market.

This year the programme of events will focus on the topics (1) aromas, fragrances and dietary supplements (2) grains, (3) wood and (4) plant-based oils. The conference has been completely revamped and will now be held at its new venue, the Leopoldina, in collaboration with its partner country France. It will offer special subsessions on the model region of Central Germany and a networking dinner at the end of the first day.  

France is this year’s partner country and will be presented with well-known speakers from research and business. In addition to that results and approaches of the Bioeconomy Model Region of Central Germany will be discussed in special subsessions.

Dr Stefan Rauschen from NCP Life Science will discuss European funding opportunities, networking and important stakeholders during the Lunch Lounge on May 10, and after this first conference day a networking dinner will be held.
