[Event Review] Workshop for the Participation of Non-EU Black Sea and EaP Countries in Thematic COFUND ERANETs & JPIs
The Workshop for the Participation of Non-EU Black Sea and EaP Countries in Thematic COFUND ERANETs & JPIs was held in Baku on 13-14 October 2016. The Workshop was jointly organised in the framework of the Black Sea Horizon project and the IncoNet EaP project by the two project partners CeRISS (Greece) and Science Development Foundation (Azerbaijan).

The aim of the workshop was to discuss on the modalities of how to participate in thematic COFUND ERANETs and to address the research funding agencies and ministries of the non-EU Black Sea countries. To this aim the event brought together local funding agencies that are interested in participating to specific ongoing or forthcoming ERANETs & JPIs with the ERANETs’ & JPIs' coordinators and discuss on potential inclusion of these countries to the ERANETs & JPIs.
The workshop was structured on four sessions:
- Session I: COFUND ERANETs & JPIs as a Scheme of research cooperation beyond the EU
- Session II: ERANETs & JPIs in practice
- Session III: Non-EU BS & EaP Funding Agencies – Program funding, participation and experience in previous ERANETs & JPIs
- Session IV: Open Discussion on perspectives of participation of non-EU BS/ EaP countries to COFUND ERANETs/JPIs
