[Event Review] The SECURE-R2I Project Final Dissemination and Brokerage Events

SECURE R2I Project Final Dissemination and Brokerage Events took place on September 29, 2016 in the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv. The event was organized by the project consortium partners Intelligentsia and TBI Kharkiv Technologies.

About 120 representatives from Luxemburg, Italy, Estonia, Greece, Great Britain, Finland, Armenia, Georgia, Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine took part in the event where the SECURE R2I Project consortium partners presented the results of implemented project’s tasks.

The importance of the  Project activities, its innovation and technology transfer oriented goals as well as the prospects for joint international cooperation of the RDI players from the European Union and Eastern Partnership Countries were noted by the representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the State Fund for Fundamental Research and the Science & Technology Center of Ukraine.

The SECURE R2I Project coordinator presented main Project’s achievements and new successful projects within the EC HORIZON 2020 Program, which were initiated during the SECURE R2I implementation.

The Pilot Research Projects partners presented results of their joint research and technology transfer cooperation within twinning activities related to EC HORIZON 2020 Social Challenge “Secure Society”.

Presentations of Ukrainian NCPs on NMP, ICT, MSCA, ERI, and SME with information about new calls of HORIZON 2020 Program were of much interest for Ukrainian participants.

In general 49 presentations were done during the event; among them 33 project proposals for commercialization in the field of security, information technologies, nanotechnologies, material science, medicine, etc. During the brokerage session aimed at facilitating networking between RDI specialists from EAP and EU countries, the participants had opportunity to discuss research and innovation projects and prospective partner relationships aimed at creation consortiums for submitting joint proposals in secure field for the EC HORIZON 2020 Program.
