[Event Review] TAIEX: workshop on new innovation strategies for Moldova
Creating and managing innovation clusters of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and university/research institutions was in the focus of a TAIEX workshop organised in Moldova on 28-29 January 2016. Enterprises, in particular active and innovative SMEs, researchers, academia, government officials, and other relevant actors were invited to participate.

According to TAIEX, the purpose of the workshop was to provide guidance on best practices implemented in EU Member States to create and manage innovation clusters. It also aimed to strengthen the internal and external relationships and working practices between cluster members and in-between clusters working in the same innovation fields. The Agency for Innovation and Technology Transfer of the Republic of Moldova will co-host the event.
TAIEX is the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange instrument of the European Commission. A demand-driven tool, TAIEX supports partner countries with regard to the approximation, application and enforcement of EU legislation. In the Eastern Neighbourhood, TAIEX works with Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. (EU Neighbourhood Info)
