[Event Announcement and Call for papers] “Health Effects of Chernobyl: Prediction and Actual Data 30 Years after the Accident”
The organiser are pleased to announce the International Conference “Health Effects of Chernobyl: Prediction and Actual Data 30 Years after the Accident”, to be held in Obninsk, Russia on 17-19 May, 2016. The Conference will bring together leading scientists and technical experts, health care professionals and practitioners, as well as social workers from many countries of the world. The scope will cover a broad range of radiological sciences: radiation biology and ecology, radiation epidemiology and dosimetry, radiation protection and safety, as well as matters pertaining to radiation emergency medicine and public health.

Call For Papers
Abstracts should focus on current issues, should contain scientific and/or practical content and clearly define the objectives of the presentation, materials and methods, key conclusions.
Abstracts should be in Word format, no longer than 500 words, font Time New Roman, font size 11, space between lines 1.0, paper format A4, margins sizes – 20 mm.
The Conference Program Committee will make decision on acceptance or non-acceptance of an abstract for presentation and publication in Proceedings of the Conference. The notification email will be sent to the first author.
Abstracts should be e-mailed to from September 5, 2015 to December 20, 2015.
All authors should register their participation before submitting their abstracts. No registration fee should be paid.

This Conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl accident is intended to provide a platform for sharing current knowledge and discussing the following areas:
- Coordination of international efforts to strengthen global radiation safety.
- Ecological effects of the Chernobyl accident and impact on the environment.
- Dosimetry methods used for assessing population and individual exposures.
- Biodosimetry methods for individual dose assessment (cytogenetic, molecular assays, EPR, OSL/TL, retrospective dosimetry, internal contamination assessment, etc.).
- Radiation associated risks of cancer and non-cancer outcomes among cleanup workers and population. Screening effect.
- Psychological, social, and ethical issues related to the accident and interventions in response and recovery periods.
- Medical preparedness and response to radiation emergencies.
- Risk communication strategy in emergencies and recovery.
The Conference will provide an excellent opportunity for exchange of information and face to face communication with the world’s top experts who will share their knowledge and experience with the audience.
