Speaking about the upcoming bilateral deals, Nalbandian said: “Following the successful negotiations of last month, we look forward to signing in coming days the agreements on Armenia’s participation in a number of EU programmes, such as Horizon 2020, and the Programme for Competitiveness of Small and Medium Enterprises (COSME).”

Other deals are also anticipated, including a new bilateral framework document setting out “new guidelines for mutually beneficial co-operation” between the EU and Armenia, talks for which are expected to open in the next few days.

Nalbandian added: “In the area of transport, the Government of Armenia has expressed its readiness to conclude a common aviation agreement, following the liberalisation of the aviation market through the Open Skies policy.”

The foreign minister also thanked European Neighbourhood Policy Commissioner Johannes Hahn who attended the conference, and High Representative of the Union Federica Mogherini for engaging with Armenia and other partner countries during a review of the ENP.
